The 77th Independence Day was today celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at the Baltal Base Camp of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
The Tricolour was hoisted by Ghanshyam Singh, Camp Director Batal, in the esteemed presence of Sushil Khajuria, SSP Yatra Baltal at the Joint Police Control Room (JPCR).
The celebration saw the participation of various dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, who took the salute from contingents of the Indian Army, ITPB, JKP, CRPF, SDRF, SSB, and other security forces, along with civil officers.
The event also witnessed the presence of yatris, langar sewadaras, and service providers such as ponywalas, pithuwalas, and shopkeepers.
A spirited Trinaga rally commenced from the Baltal campus, covering the entire area, symbolizing the unity and diversity of the nation.
The celebrations extended to the “At Home” function, where refreshments were served to all attendees.
The occasion was embellished with dance performances, patriotic songs, and cultural programs that resonated with the spirit of the nation.
Addressing the audience from the dias, Camp Director conveyed his warm wishes to all citizens on the 77th Independence Day and reiterated the resolve to contribute to India’s prosperity.
He expressed gratitude towards all service providers for ensuring the success and smooth operation of the yatra. The dedicated service of the security personnel was acknowledged and praised.
The event was also a reminder of the sacrifices made by the revered freedom fighters who laid the foundation for India’s independence. Their efforts in shaping the nation into a free entity were commemorated and honored.
Camp Director commended the officials of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board for their invaluable contribution to the event’s success.
In addition, the celebrations were graced by Additional Camp Director Ajay Sharma, Kapil Deol, SSP JPCR HI, SHO, and heads of CRPF, ITBP, and other esteemed organizations.
