As the Nation is celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and the year is dedicated to soil of our Nation under the theme, “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K organised “Rashtrya Dwaj Arohan and Rashtya Gaan” events at Joint Directorate of Youth Services and Sports on Monday here. Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Suram Sharma presided over the function. A traditional clay lamp was also lit on the occasion to recognize the sacrifices of National Heros who laid down their lives while safeguarding our motherland. National Anthem was also sung by the audience on the occasion. Later, a plantation drive was also launched by planting saplings in the premises of the sports office at Gandhinagar. Assistant Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Mool Raj, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu Sukhdev Sharma and other officers of the Department besides staff members were present.
