DC Kupwara flags-off Tiranga Rallies, other events also held to infuse patriotism, Nationalistic fervor among locals
As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and under ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Sunday flagged-off a Mega Bike/ Sumo Tiranga Rally from Rigipora Kupwara to Handwara.
The Rally was organized by District Administration Kupwara in collaboration with ARTO Kupwara.
Hundreds of bikes and Sumos carrying National Flags, playing National Anthem and other patriotic songs passed through the Kupwara Bye-Pass, Bumhama, Drugmulla, Bramri, Nutnoosa, Vodhpora, Kulangam finally reached Handwara Sumo-Stand. Participants were enthusiastic about their participation in the grand rally.
District Information Officer Kupwara, Iftikhar Naseem and ARTO Kupwara, Anees Ahmad Wani were present in the flagging-off ceremony of the Mega Bike/Sumo Tiranga Rally.
Later, the DC flagged-off Tiranga Rally of Asha Workers from DC Office Lawns.
In this massive Tiranga Rally hundreds of Asha workers carrying National Flags marched from the DC Office Complex to Sub District Hospital Kupwara.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gh. Nabi Bhat flagged-off a Cycle Tiranga Rally from Tourist Reception Centre Kupwara to Government Degree College Kupwara.
In this rally hundreds of cyclists carrying National flags raced through Kupwara town.
Rally was organized by District Administration Kupwara in collaboration with DYSS.
DYSS Officer, Kupwara, Zahoor Ahmad was present in the flagging-off ceremony.
SDM Karnah Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather flagged-off a massive Tiranga Rally at Mini-Secretariat Tangdhar in which he along with Tehsildar Karnah and other officers and officials, students of different schools and the heads of schools and local residents marched through the Tangdhar Market.
Rally culminated near Public Park Tangdhar which witnessed overwhelming response as hundreds of participants amidst reverberations of patriotic songs and singing of the national anthem.
All these events in frontier Kupwara district have infused a sense of patriotism and nationalistic fervor in the hearts of the public.
