The chief Guest for the event Mr. Jahangir Bakshi (secretary DLSA), also call this day an International day for indigenous people. He further added that we are celebrating this day to mark their importance in our society and to preserve their rights.
Adv. Syed Junaid Sadaat stated that we all should work towards recognition of tribal people, because these indigenous peoples live in organised societies and have defined cultural setup, their own languages, and traditions. So it is our duty and responsibility to protect their way of living. Moreover we can learn a lot from them. The way they protect our eco system, preserve our natural resources like forests, rivers and soil. So let us all celebrate this day.
