DDC Chairperson Ramban launches Mission Indradhanush 5.0 in Gool

Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0, the vaccine catch-up campaign, which focuses on reaching zero-dose children aged between 0 and 5 years and pregnant women who might have missed any vaccine doses in the national immunization schedule, was launched at Gool by District Development Council Chairperson Ramban Dr Shamshad Shan.

BDC Chairperson Gool Shkeela Begum, DDC Member Gool, Sakhi Mohd, SDM Gool Tanveer Ul Majid, Block Medical Officer Gool Dr Ashfaq Hassan; Principal Degree College Gool Dr Karan Singh, Tehsildar Gool Rakesh Kumar, SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan, beside students and staff of GHSS Gool were also present on the occasion.

At the beginning of the event, the BMO gave a resume about the IMI 5.0 being conducted in three phases across the country. The first phase starting from today will continue till August 12, while the second phase will be held from September 11 to Sept 16 and the third phase from October 9 to Oct 14.

The DDC Chairperson, while speaking on the occasion, appreciated the government for this great initiative and appealed to the people and PRIs and other departments to cooperate with the health officials in making this campaign a success.
