During the programme, the experts from the Department of Ayush educated the students about various common diseases especially waterborne disease and the preventive measures to avoid getting sick. They also gave them some home remedies to treat these diseases and also informed them about various deficiencies, their symptoms and treatments.

In addition to educating the students, the experts also shared invaluable home remedies for treating common illnesses and shed light on various nutritional deficiencies, their symptoms, and the available remedies.

The event also featured a pivotal component – the conduction of blood tests to identify potential cases of anaemia among the students. Those found to be anaemic received immediate support in the form of on-the-spot distribution of iron tablets.

On the occasion, Head Master Mohammad Iqbal Lone urged the students to ensure cleanliness and personal hygiene at home and school. He also urged them to avoid taking junk foods and instead take a balanced diet.

He appealed to the students to consume boiled water to avoid catching any water borne disease.

Earlier before the morning assembly, the school staff hoisted tri-color while students recited the national anthem and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters and to all those who have laid down their lives for the protection of the country as part of the Meri Maati, Mera Desh programme.
