As per the directions Received from Joint Director Youth Services and sports Kashmir YSS Ganderbal under the supervision of DYSSO Ganderbal Mr. Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal conducted sports Quiz under Prabhat Pheri activities and Tug of War under Sports competitions in Zone Hariganiwan of the District. Various Schools of the said Zone Took an active part in the Quiz as well as Tug of War competition. The Events witnessed the Participation of Approximately 155 boys and girls students of the Zone. Moreover Zone Ganderbal conducted an inter school Zonal level Cricket competition for Boys under 17 years at Middle school Fatehpora on the Third day witnessing enthusiastic participation of 78 students from both Government and Private Institutions of the said Zone. DYSSO Ganderbal Mr. Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal graced the occasion and interacted with the student players. The officer encouraged the players to take part in Games and sports regularly along with the studies so that an all-round development shall take place in them. The officer also gave his best wishes to the participating teams for the competition and made sure that every facility is already available at the venue prior to the start of the competition. Likewise event was conducted by Zonal Physical Education office Kangan for Boys under 19 years at Sheikh Ul Aalam Ground Kangan with a total participation of 50 student players from both Govt. and Private schools of the Zone. Meanwhile YSS Ganderbal sent a contingent of 16 players to participate in the ongoing Inter District Hockey championship being played at Astro Turf Pulwama. Team Ganderbal played its Fourth match against District Kupwara in which District Kupwara remained Victorious in the end. Overall the activities of today were a Great Success. The Departmental officials who were assigned the duties for the smooth conduct of the said activities performed their duties in a versatile manner and made today’s activity programs a great success.
