DC reviews arrangements

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, today convened a high-level meeting to review arrangements for the Jal Jeevan Mission fortnight celebration, scheduled to be held from August 1st to August 14 in all 145 panchayats of the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; ADC Harbans Sharma; PO ICDS, Jahangir Hashmi; CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Rajeev Gai, and several other officers.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Jal Shakti Department to coordinate with the all concerned departments to organize activities as per plan during the celebrations of JJM fortnight.

The DC instructed concerned officers to put in place all requisite arrangements as per assignments given to their respective departments for celebrations of JJM fortnight.

Earlier, the Executive Engineer gave a PowerPoint presentation on the plan of activities to be organized during the fortnight celebration across the district.

It was informed that BDOs and other officers from district administration shall visit the allotted panchayats to inspect the works executed under JJM. The DC also directed the concerned departments to launch an IEC campaign to inform the public about the JJM fortnight celebration and achievements recorded under JJM in the district.

Reviewing the progress on 267 works of 88 JJM schemes being executed at different levels, the DC appreciated the team of Jal Shakti Ramban for executing all water supply schemes smoothly besides ensuring proper water supply in the district.
