Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for JJM fortnight which is scheduled to be held from August 01 to August 14, 2023.
During the meeting, arrangements for conducting special Gram Sabhas for discussing JJM, installation of Signages on all water supply schemes, installation of banners/ hoardings, conduct of rallies, painting and debate competition were reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that objective of this campaign is to generate awareness about the activities of JJM among common masses.
She said that officers of district administration will visit the gram panchayats to inspect the JJM works and interact with the local residents to spread awareness as well as to get feedback about implementation of JJM schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the concerned to ensure availability of FTKs in each village and reporting of 100 percent FHTC villages as HGJ villages.
It was informed that debates, painting competitions, rallies and street plays with themes like water conservation; climate change etc will be organized during these days.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed concerned officers to put in place all requisite arrangements for celebrations of JJM fortnight.
CPO Yoginder Katoch, ACD, Preeti Sharma, along with other officers of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
