On Saturday, the Kashmir Jurist under the aegis of 31 Sub Area & 150 TA Punjab served refreshments to the participants of tenth Muharram procession on Saturday.

For the first time the procession was waived off by the honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and the event was attended by several dignitaries from bureaucracy, law enforcement agencies, local administration, and as well as regional political leaders throughout the day.

In a first the GOC of 31 Sub Area Maj Gen PBS Lamba paid a visit to Zadibal and interacted with the Shia Mourners, while serving them water amid scorching heat.

On Saturday, the team members of Kashmir Jurist who took on the initiative under the aegis of 31 Sub Area & 150 TA Punjab provided water refreshment to the members of Shia community who were participating in the procession.

The ultimate aim of the initiative was to pass on the message of love, unity, and peace among all thr communities of the society under the influence of ” Kashmiriyat” which symbolises “unity” above all.
