CEO Udhampur conducts extensive academic tour to Dudu area

Chief Education Officer, Udhampur Geetu Bangotra, along with her team comprising Assistant Director Planning Darshan Kumar & Others, conducted an extensive academic tour of schools falling in zone Dudu and Zone Chenani. During the tour the team assessed the problems faced by the students pertaining to shortage of Teaching staff in the far flung schools, including GHSS Basantgarh .

While interacting with the public of Basantgarh, Chief Education Officer apprised them about measures taken by the higher authorities to meet out the deficiency of staff, particularly for Senior Secondary classes by recruitment of contractual lecturers through Academic arrangement, the notification of which is being published soon.

The PRI members presented in detail the problems being faced by the students due to shortage of staff. They demanded immediate filling of all the vacant posts of Lecturers, Masters and Teachers as the academic session is in its mid period and the syllabus was yet to be covered.

En-route, the team also inspected the ongoing civil works in the Educational Institutions including at GHS Marothi. The CEO asked the HOI to ensure the execution of work as per prescribed standards and within the timeframe to benefit the students at the earliest.

The visiting team also discussed different issues with the PRIs and assured them to project their demands to higher authorities, particularly related to shortage of teaching staff.

The CEO also interacted with the parents and students and exhorted them to avail full benefit of Government Schemes initiated for the welfare of students. He further directed the HOIs to use ICT Lab/CAL centres for effective teaching -learning process.
