In a heartfelt display of unity and respect, Mohammad Amin Shah, the BJP district president of Ganderbal, paid tribute to Imam Hussain (Alyasalam) on the solemn occasion of Ashura that is being observed tomorrow on 29th of July. The mourning processions will be joined by people from diverse backgrounds gathered to remember the sacrifice of Imam Hussain and its universal message of justice, compassion, and standing against oppression. Imam Hussain (Alyasalam), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is revered by millions worldwide for his stand against tyranny and injustice. His martyrdom at the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE continues to serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of upholding principles even in the face of overwhelming adversity. Mohammad Amin Shah, the BJP district president, spoke passionately about the significance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice, emphasizing that his teachings and values transcend religious boundaries. He stated, “Imam Hussain’s stance was not limited to a particular community or belief system; it was a testament to the eternal struggle between right and wrong. His message of compassion, selflessness, and justice echoes across time and unites humanity.”
Shadab Peerzada, BJP district Media Incharge and a prominent social activist from the area, who added to the tribute by expressing his profound admiration for Imam Hussain (Alyasalam). Shadab said, “Imam Hussain’s sacrifice is a universal story that inspires people regardless of their faith or background. His unwavering determination to stand against oppression and uphold righteousness is an example that should be followed by all humanity.”
Shah, made a fervent appeal to the Ganderbal district administration and police. He urged them to facilitate and streamline the process for people to participate in gatherings. Recognizing the significance of these gatherings in fostering unity and harmony, Shah stressed the importance of removing any unnecessary hurdles that might create problem for people especially to the communities residing in Dabb and Shallabugh areas, which are known to have the largest population of Shia community in the district. Understanding the cultural and religious significance of their involvement, he called upon them to actively participate and ensure their presence in these gatherings, contributing to the sense of togetherness and shared celebrations.
