SRINAGAR: Aadil Manzoor Peer, hailing from Halmatpora Kupwara, has made headlines for his exceptional achievements in sports. Already a talented athlete in martial arts and rugby, it was his unexpected entry into the world of Ice Stock that propelled the 26-year-old to stardom, ultimately leading him to become the captain of the Indian national team.

The young athlete’s prowess was put to the test on the international stage when he made his debut in the International Ice Stock World Championship held in Austria in 2018. Despite being a newcomer, Aadil showcased his skills and determination, securing an impressive 10th position.

Building on this early success, Aadil continued to leave his mark on the global Ice Stock circuit. In 2019, he participated in a championship held in China, and his dedication and hard work paid off with a commendable seventh rank in the highly competitive World Ice Stock Championship 2022.

However, Aadil’s most cherished achievement came when he was appointed as the captain of the Indian Ice Stock team. Leading the nation’s best players, he has shown remarkable leadership and camaraderie, making him a role model for aspiring athletes across the country.
