Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July to rekindle the pride and valour of the soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay in Year 1999.
In order to commemorate the 24 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Indian Army organised a motivational speech cum presentation on Kargil War for 40 boys, 20 girl students & 05 teachers of various schools of Tangdhar. The aim was to pay tribute to the bravery and valour of Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country during the Kargil War in 1999. During the lecture, emphasis was given on Battle of Tololing and Battle of Tiger Hill which had changed the course of Kargil war. Students were also told about the Heroes who made supreme sacrifice for the motherland. The Students were humbled by the efforts of the Indian Army in the treacherous heights of Kargil Sector. The students were left emotional and spellbound in the end. The programme was concluded with raising of slogans for Mother India followed by refreshments. The motivation lecture has kindled a sense of national pride amongst the students & has motivated them to rise high in life to positively contribute to nation building & development.
