LCMA conducts mega Cleanliness drive at Moti Mohalla inside lake

In view of Muharram, a mega cleanliness drive was today held at Moti Mohalla inside the lake by Lake Conservation and Management Authority Srinagar in collaboration with the White Globe NGO.

The routes of mourning processions were completely cleaned in order to maintain the clean and hygienic surroundings in the said areas. In addition the nallahs were also cleaned by solid waste management team of LCMA.

This special drive has been started on 20th of July, 2023 which will continue for 10 days.

Secretary LCMA has made a fervent appeal to general public to avoid littering in water bodies. “In view of Muharram we should ensure our surroundings especially water bodies un-littered. Our future lies with our environment and we all should collectively realize our responsibility on this front”, he added.

The main focus of this drive is to go for the cleanliness in the hamlets inside the Dal Lake, Secretary LCMA said.

Project officer LCMA, chairperson White Globe NGO and other officials from LCMA were present during the said drive.
