DDC Gbl reviews progress of Developmental works under District Capex Plan 2023-24

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the meeting of officers to discuss and review the progress of various developmental projects under District Capex Plan 2023-24 in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

At the outset, the CPO gave a detailed overview of the estimation and tendering process under District Capex, Area Development Fund (DDC/ BDC/ PRI grants), Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP), SBM, JJM etc.

The meeting was informed that a budget of Rs 52.39 crore is approved for District Capex for the year 2023-24 under which 1460 works including 38 ongoing have been identified of various departments for augmentation of infrastructure and other facilities in the district.

It was informed that out of 1460 total works 963 works have been accorded administrative approval, authorization of 70 percent works is given and over 46 percent works stand tendered.

The DDC took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of works taken up under the District Capex schemes of various departments including Jal Shakti, Urban Development, RDD, Youth Services & Sports, education, irrigation, PDD and others.

After reviewing the sector wise progress of the works, the DDC impressed upon all the departments to complete the estimation, tendering and allotment of works within the timelines so that all the developmental works could be completed within the time bound manner.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, SE, R&B Circle Ganderbal, SE, KPDCL, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer R&B, CEO and other District and Sectoral Officers.
