Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan enters Phase -14th in Udhampur

Kisan Samark Abhiyan entered phase 14th here in District Udhampur as an orientation program was organised today at Panchayat Kambel Danga in zone Jib.

After the successful completion of 13 phases of “Kisan Sampark Abhiyan started on April 24, 2023 in the district, 159 panchayats out of total 236 panchayats have been covered with the participation of more than 17000 farmers.

During the programmes farmers were acquainted with latest schemes of Agriculture and Allied Departments, besides newest initiatives launched by the Government for the farming community.

The programme provided awareness to farmers on 29 projects involving different stakeholders and lending agencies. The farmers are being made aware by different means viz screening of videos and by providing printed materials.

While speaking on the occasion, BDC Chairman, Balwan Singh lauded the Agriculture Department for creating awareness amongst the farmers under holistic agriculture development programme (HADP).He urged the farmers to take maximum benefits of this flagship[ initiative by the department to enhance the productivity and profitability of the farming. He further thanked the District Administration and Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand for the support.

Sarpanches, Panches, AEO JIB, JAEO’s, AEA’s and Field Staff of Agriculture and Allied departments attended the event.
