Abducted Kashmir Girl Recovered In Delhi

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday reported that they found the missing young woman and arrested the two people who had abducted her in New Delhi.

It all started when a concerned person (name not mentioned) lodged a complaint at the Police post-Palhallan in Baramulla district on July 1, 2023. He reported that his 19-year-old daughter had disappeared from their home on June 30, 2013.

The police registered a case (FIR No. 222/2023 u/s 366 IPC) at Police Station Pattan and began investigating. They discovered that the girl had been abducted by some unknown individuals.

Through technical evidence, they found out that both the accused persons and the girl had left Jammu and Kashmir for New Delhi. The police quickly formed a team and went to New Delhi. There, they recovered the missing girl and arrested the accused individuals, identified as Ashiq Ali Mangral from Tuli Reasi and Deep Kumar from Chalabeni Kathua.

After completing the necessary legal procedures, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. The police stated that they are continuing their investigation in the case.
