To enhance the efficiency and capabilities of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and familiarize them with working outside their area, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, today flagged off a group of PRIs on an exposure tour to Himachal Pradesh.

The tour, organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Doda, aims to provide valuable insights to PRIs, enabling them to deliver better performance in their administrative field.

Amidst a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation, the deputy commissioner flagged off two fully packed buses carrying PRI members, including the Sarpanchs and Panchs of the region, on their journey to Himachal Pradesh. The officials from the concerned department were also present during the flag-off ceremony, showing their support for this initiative.

The exposure tour holds significant promise as it offers PRIs the opportunity to observe and learn from the work practices employed in another state. By witnessing the administrative operations and strategies implemented in Himachal Pradesh, the PRIs from Doda aspire to gain valuable knowledge that can be applied to their own governance responsibilities.

This exposure tour is expected to broaden the horizons of the participants and provide them with fresh perspectives on rural development and effective local governance. It will empower them with the necessary tools and insights to overcome challenges and improve decision-making for the betterment of their communities. As the PRIs return from this enlightening experience, the hope is that they will be better equipped to contribute towards the progress and development of the Doda region in Jammu and Kashmir.
