Says 600 street lights to illuminate Budgam town for public convenience

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today initiated the installation of 600 street lights mega project for Budgam town at Old Bus Stand Budgam.

He said that the installation would enhance the lighting system and illumination of main town Budgam.

The DC said that the street lights project was approved under the KLC funds utilization, after a need was felt regarding proper street lighting facilities in the main town.

Later, DC also initiated the drainage construction project at Humhama Chowk under Humahma- Mirgund integrated road project.

He said that drainage works shall be carried out at all identified spots along Humhama – Budgam route for smooth wash out of drainage waters.

Akshay said that the District Administration is committed to the beautification and development of all areas of the district.

Among others, ADDC Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak; JD Planing, Executive Engineers of KPDCL Budgam, R&B, Executive Officers of Municipal Committee and other concerned were present on the occasion.
