KVK Bandipora celebrates 95th ICAR Foundation cum Technology Day

The 95th ICAR Foundation cum Technology Day was on Monday celebrated at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Patushay Bandipora.

Progressive farmers, farm-women and budding entrepreneurs besides, officials from different development departments participated.

At the outset, Dr Hilal Ahmad Malik Scientist (Agri Extension) highlighted the significance of the day and role of Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), GoI in transforming production led agriculture to market-driven agriculture through the commendable research by the apex Institution of the Country in the field of Agriculture and Allied sectors

Dr. Tariq Sultan Programme Coordinator KVK Bandipora in his inaugural address underlined various technological interventions made by SKUAST-Kashmir in respect of Cereal, horticulture, oilseeds, dairying, sericulture and fisheries etc. and urged participants to take full advantage of the available technologies for harnessing quality production and ensuring better dividends

During the event, Dr Tahir Saleem Scientist (Vegetable Science) highlighted through a power point presentation the various technological advancements made so far by SKUAST-Kashmir in Agriculture and Allied sectors and desired participants to adopt scientific recommendations for harnessing production for quality and better returns.

Meanwhile, to showcase the technologies, products, newly released varieties and other research products, an exhibition of technologies was also done and threadbare discussion of participants with scientists added beauty to the event.
