At 1930 hrs on 15 Jul 2023 a distress call was recieved from locals that a Scorpio vehicle driven by Gh Hassan resident of Kain Baihk had accidentally skidded of the road at a sharp turn and overturned at Brahmdori, Batpora. The driver suffered minor injuries and was rushed to SDH, Kupwara where in he was discharged after First Aid.
The area has dense forests and narrow roads and also with limited availability of day light it was decided by the Indian Army team at site to recover the vehicle in the morning of 16 Jul 2023.
A *Light Recovery Vehicle* reached the spot to recover the vehicle, however due to dense forests and scarcity of space for the recovery vehicle to operate the Scorpio was recovered after a challenging procedure which lasted more than three hours.
The vehicle was handed over to the owner who was thank full to the Indian Army for the kind gesture.
