An awareness camp and a rally was today organised under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) by the Department of Social Welfare Shopian at Bohrihallan High School .
During the event, students were made aware about the various effects of drug abuse and the possible solutions to overcome the menace. The Helpline numbers were also made public.
The resource persons from various departments threw light on the issue and shared the help that can be possibly obtained from the departments to eradicate this menace from the society.
They also said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to fight against drugs which has ruined the precious lives, especially of younger generations.
The officers and officials of Social Welfare Department participated in the event.
