Health Melas held at Ayushman Bharat -HWCs across District Doda

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, health Melas cum awareness camps were today held today at Ayushman Bharat-HWCs across Dodea District to sensitize people about the importance of health and well being and to bring varied health facilities at the door steps of the public.

The events and different activities were held under the supervision of Chief Medical Office, Dr. A H Zargar and concerned Block Medical Officers.

The aim of these health melas was to educate people about different government health schemes and provide them with the best healthcare facilities at their doorsteps and to ensure benefits of health related schemes reach to every household.

During the day long events, the health melas witnessed overwhelming participation of locals who availed the facility of free medical OPD diagnosis, tests and free medicine, besides getting advice on health awareness .

The health staff, including Medical Officers and Paramedics, conducted health checkups of hundreds of patients related to NCDs, general medicine, and dental check up.

The health melas are being organized on 14th of every month in each medical block of the district to boost the healthcare system and enlighten people about government schemes for their health and treatment.
