Play the role of Ambassadors for drug de-addiction: Dr. Owais to Students

Sir Syed Educational Trust in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora today organised a career counseling cum drug de-addiction programme for the students of different academic institutions of zone Bandipora at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion.

The program was organised with reference to admission opportunities in different universities/institutions of the country and abroad. On the occasion, the students were made aware about the impact of drug addiction on physical and mental health and social ramifications of indulging in drug menace.

The DC on the occasion highlighted the significance and need of career counseling in the current scenario. He said that youth should take their career on priority and should stay away from drugs while playing the role of Ambassadors of drug de-addiction.

During the programme, experts from diverse fields including Education, Health, Bio-science, Banking, Civil Administration, Judiciary, Fisheries, and Agriculture delivered their presentations.

Medical stall clinics were also installed by the department of Health in the school compound for a thorough checkup of the students.

Charter of demand was presented to DC Bandipora by the school of the institute.

Officers from different departments deliberated on career opportunities for students in terms of higher studies, government and private jobs, and entrepreneurship.
