Continuing the effort to connect with people in Vilgam Area, Kakrosa Army Camp organized a lecture cum health screening of students in collaboration with PHE, Vilgam at Light House Public School today.
Programme commenced with lecture by Regimental Medical Officer, Vilgam Battalion followed by screening of children for growth abnormalities, skin issues, Eye, ENT and Dental problems. A total of two doctors from PHC, Vilgam and 02 doctors from Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), Srinagar attended the health screening event. Necessary advice and suggestions were explained to teachers and children. First aid kit was also distributed to the school. Medically ill children were provided with basic medical aid in the form of essential medicines, ointments, tablets and syrups.
A total of 210 students including 82 girls and 128 boys participated in the health screening. Apart from children, 12 teachers and 06 staff members also took part in the event.
