Reasi youth shine at International Dance Competition

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today felicitated a group of local youth who won medals at 3rd Mount Everest International Dance, Singing, Acting, and Instrument playing competition held recently in Kathmandu.

The students from different institutions from across Reasi district participated in the International level dance competition and brought laurels by winning medals.

The students were selected for the international level competition on the basis of their outstanding performance at district level, state level and national level performances in different categories and age groups.

The District Development Commissioner presented appreciation certificates and extended warm congratulations to the achievers of international level competitions and wished them good luck for their future competitions. DC also motivated the participants to recognize their unique potential and contribute towards nation building.

The students from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir won gold, silver and bronze medals in various instruments and dance forms. Anandroop Singh won gold medal in folk dance category, Aradhya Rani won gold medal in solo dance category and Aliya Thappa won silver medal in folk dance category. These children were accompanied by Preeti Langeh.

Chief Education Officer Sunita Bali was also present on the occasion.
