The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Budgam of Social Welfare department (SWD) today organized an event aimed at distributing blankets among lactating mothers and their girl children at the Bhagat mollah Soibugh in Budgam, as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign.
During the event, a total of 10 blankets were distributed among lactating mothers along with their girl children. The blankets will serve as a source of warmth and comfort, especially during the upcoming colder months, ensuring a healthier environment for the mothers and their children.
Furthermore, the event featured insightful speeches delivered by DHEW team members. The speeches threw light on various schemes and initiatives designed to empower women and promote gender equality, such as the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and women’s empowerment programs. DHEW firmly believes that by raising awareness about these schemes, a positive change can be brought about in society, providing equal opportunities for all.
