During this festive season, let’s make a collective pledge to keep our environment free from harm especially throwing the Qurbani (Sacrifical animal waste) in water bodies . Here are a few simple yet impactful steps we can take together:

1. Minimize Food Waste:Prepare and serve meals mindfully, ensuring that we don’t waste food. Plan ahead, cook in moderation, and encourage responsible consumption.

2. Opt for Eco-friendly Decorations:Choose natural and biodegradable materials for your Eid decorations. Avoid single-use plastic and opt for reusable or recyclable items instead.

3.Travel Responsibly: If you’re visiting family and friends, carpool or use public transportation whenever possible. This will help reduce carbon emissions and alleviate traffic congestion.

4.Embrace Sustainable Gifting: Instead of traditional gifts, consider giving eco-friendly presents or experiences that promote sustainability. It could be a plant, a reusable water bottle, or a donation to an environmental cause.

By implementing these small changes, we can collectively make a big difference. Let us celebrate Eid Ul Azha with love and gratitude, not just for our loved ones but also for the beautiful planet we call home.

Wishing you all a blessed Eid filled with joy, togetherness, and a renewed commitment to protecting our environment.

Eid Mubarak! To u and your Entire Family.

Dr. Touseef Ahmed
