To foster the spirit of National Integration and familiarize the participating cadets attending the ongoing Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Special National Integration Camp Srinagar, with local youth and border areas of Kashmir several activities are being organized by NCC Group Srinagar. On 23 Jun, with an aim to provide a one-on-one interaction and exchange their cultural presentations and ideas with local Kashmiri Youth, a Student Ideas Exchange program was conducted in collaboration with Director Colleges Kashmir. Under this program 45 NCC Cadets from different states / UTs of India, visited Amar Singh College, Govt College for Women, MA Road and AAA Memorial College Bemina. The cadets were warmly welcomed at all the colleges and after a brief exchange of cultural programs and presentations got down to some free and frank discussions with their hosts. The cadets were delighted to see the warmth, hospitality and excellent arrangements made for them by the host students at all the venues. By the end of the interaction program, they were able to have effective communication, break their stereotypes about each other, learn about the rich cultural diversities in the country and make bonds across languages and customs. The programs were meticulously planned and conducted by the respective NCC officials of the three colleges namely Prof Helal Lone, Prof Eshrat Ara and Mr Syed Mudassir Mushtaq respectively. Such interactions and bonding amongst youth from different states and regions will certainly go a long way in fostering the spirit of National Integration. On 24 Jun, in collaboration with the local army authorities, the cadets were taken on a motivational visit to the Border area of Uri where they also visited Kamaan Aman Setu. The cadets had a first hand opportunity to see the Line of Control and get the true picture of prevailing peace, progress and development in these far flung areas.
