ADDC Budgam reviews ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan held under HADP in the District

To review ongoing farmer’s orientation programme (Kisan Sampark Abhiyan) under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), a meeting of officers was today convened under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak.

During the meeting, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Budgam (District Nodal Officer HADP) apprised the chair regarding the different activities going on under HADP, which was held from 24th April and will culminate on 31st of August 2023.

The chair was apprised that there are a total number of 268 venues that have been targeted to cover under Kisan Samparak Abhiyan, out of which 116 stand covered under HADP.

He said, so far 145 panchayats have been covered under HADP, 20639 farmers have attended the orientation programme.

696 Resource persons have been engaged for imparting training to the farmers so far in the district, he added.

The ADDC said that Mega programmes should be organised at panchayat level across the district for distribution of ‘Kisan Smart cards’ and its awareness during this ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan.

He directed the concerned to re-verify the already issued smart cards and issue the new ones to deserving ones within no time.

The ADDC stressed upon the Sectoral Officers of Agriculture and allied departments to give the programme wide publicity so that mass participation of the farming community can be assured.

It is important to mention that the Govt. of UT of J&K has recently sanctioned 29 projects for Agriculture and Allied Sectors with an aim to increase the farmer’s income and boost the economy.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry officer, District Fisheries Officer, DIO and resource persons from Agriculture and Allied departments.
