DC Rajouri finalises arrangements for International Yoga Day

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming International Yoga Day observed on 21st June at the national level.

The meeting was attended by the Program Officer ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; CMO, Dr Rajinder Sharma; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; DYSSO, Sunil Samyal and other concerned officers.

 

The meeting decided to hold the main event in the Sports Stadium Rajouri and finalized arrangements for cleanliness at the venue, security arrangement, ambulance arrangements, traffic arrangement, and more. The Education Department was asked to mobilize maximum participation of students from government and private educational institutions. Cleanliness and installation of the public address system, besides publicity of the event were entrusted to Municipality and Information departments, respectively. The police department was asked to make provision of security at the venue.

 

The concerned stakeholder departments were asked to make all the necessary arrangements well in advance for the smooth and successful conduct of the international yoga day in the district.

 

The Deputy Commissioner stressed for generating mass awareness about benefits of yoga and mass participation of the people. He also reiterated the importance of yoga in promoting overall health and wellbeing and urged everyone to adopt it as a way of life. He expressed his confidence that the International Yoga Day celebration in Rajouri would be a great success and encouraged everyone to participate in the event to make it a memorable one.
