DC inspects Lodgement centres & CSCs established for Amarnath Yatris at Udhampur

Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, along with SSP, Dr Vinod Kumar and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia today visited various Lodgement centres/ Community Sanitary Complexes located on Jakhani to Kali Mata temple Tikri stretch of National Highway and nearby area. The DC and team of Officers took stock of the facilities being put in place for the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji yatra 2023.

During the visit, the DC inspected the Lodgement centres/ CSCs and stressed upon the officers to maintain proper and regular cleanliness for the comfortable stay of pilgrims.

 

The Deputy Commissioner had a detailed review of the available infrastructure and requisite facilities in the designated Lodgment Centres /Community Sanitary Complexes.

 

The DC also enquired about the status of Augmentation of drinking water supply, sanitation, electricity, lodging, availability of bedding capacity etc in the centres.

 

The DC asked the concerned officers to ensure adequate arrangements in these designated Centres.

 

The DC stated that the District Administration will make all efforts for providing best facilities to the yatris and make provision of other basic amenities. CEO Municipality, Executive Engineer, PHE, PDD, PWD and Tehsildar Udhampur were directed to ensure fool-proof arrangements for all the basic amenities wherever required well in advance.

 

Later, the DC also visited the construction site of Government Medical College Udhampur and inspected the ongoing works there.
