Led by Deputy Commissioner, Yasin M Choudhary and Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar, the campaign aimed to encourage people to take a stand against drugs. The signing event took place at the DC office complex and witnessed the presence of various officials and social activists.

Under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner, a district-level committee has been formed to promote the campaign and collaborate with local organisations, educational institutions, and the community at large. The committee will work towards spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and mobilise the community to take action against it.

Highlighting the urgency of tackling drug abuse, Deputy Commissioner, Yasin M. Choudhary stressed the importance of coordinated endeavors in addressing this issue. He affirmed that the committee would forge close collaborations with local organizations, schools, and colleges, ensuring that the campaign’s message resonates with a broader audience. With a proactive approach, the committee aims to create widespread awareness and effectively combat drug abuse within the district.

Expressing his commitment to a drug-free Poonch, the Senior Superintendent of Police urged the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute to building a healthier society. The District Social Welfare Officer emphasised the significance of creating awareness among young people and the community to address the issue effectively.
