Karnah: A government middle school in Mandiyan Gabra fell victim to the forces of nature as a heavy walnut tree collapsed onto its structure during last night’s intense rainfall and storm. Naib Tehsildar Tadd, accompanied by Zeo Tangdar and patwaris, promptly visited the site to assess the damage and take necessary action.
In response, the ZEO and Naib Tehsildar have issued instructions for the temporary relocation of the school to a nearby government primary school building.
Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the local community has appealed to higher authorities to address the issue of the walnut trees surrounding the school building. They believe that the removal of these trees is crucial to preventing similar incidents and ensuring the safety of students and staff in the long run. The villagers expressed their gratitude to the Karnah administration for their swift response to the emergency.
Zeo Tangdar, speaking about the situation, highlighted the immediate action taken to ensure the continuity of education for the affected students. The school has been temporarily shifted to a government primary school building in close proximity to facilitate uninterrupted learning.
Tehsildar Karnah Syed Eyad Qadri confirms that yesterday’s storm and heavy rainfall resulted in significant damage to nearly half of residential houses which were fully damaged.
