Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan, and Alok Kumar, Director General of Police (DGP) Fire & Emergency Services today jointly inaugurated a state-of-the-art Fire and Emergency services building in Khag.

The event was met with overwhelming appreciation from the local community, considering the area’s remote location.

 

The newly inaugurated Fire & Emergency building stands as a testament to the commitment of the local administration towards ensuring the safety and security of the residents in Budgam district. It is equipped with modern firefighting equipment, cutting-edge technology, and trained personnel to handle any emergency effectively.

 

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman DDC Budgam, expressed his gratitude to the government for their continuous support in addressing the needs of the region. He emphasized the importance of prompt emergency services, especially in far-flung areas, and highlighted the significance of the new facility in Khag.

 

Khan stated, “The opening of this Fire & Emergency Services building is a significant step towards enhancing the safety infrastructure in Budgam. Our administration remains committed to ensuring the well-being of our residents, regardless of their geographical location. With this new facility, we aim to improve emergency response times, safeguard lives, and protect valuable property.”

 

Alok Kumar, DGP Fire & Emergency Services, commended the efforts of the Budgam administration and the local community in supporting the establishment of the new building. He emphasized the importance of proactive measures and preparedness in effectively tackling emergencies.

 

The local community expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the challenges faced by remote areas like Khag. The new Fire & Emergency Services building is expected to bring a sense of security to the region, fostering greater confidence among the residents.
