To take first hand stock of the ongoing developmental works and mega projects being executed under different sectors, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today conducted an extensive tour of different villages in Zainapora subdivision of the district.
The DC visited Seed Multiplication Farm Allowpora, Bridge at Tongri Nallah, CSC Chitragam, OHT, Durpora, Mujmarg, Chermarg, Durpora road, and OHT/ SR at Safanagri Karewa and inspected the work progress. The works are being carried by different executing agencies.
The DC passed instructions to the concerned executing agencies and department heads for timely completion of all these on-going developmental works and activities especially related to JJM works, road construction works.
Enroute, various deputations and people met the DC and apprised him of their issues. He sought feedback from them on ongoing developmental works and assured continued support for the people’s welfare.
The marathon tour was undertaken with the aim of having on-the-spot appraisal of developmental works presently under execution, besides taking assessment of developmental requirements of these areas relating to availability of basic amenities and development essentials.
During the day-long visit, various officers accompanied the DC including SDM Zainapora, CAO Shopian, Tehsildar Chitragam, BDO Zainapora and concerned officers and officials.
PRIs of the area also accompanied the DC and apprised him of various other development issues.
