Three day Capacity Building Workshop organised by State Taxes Deptt. concludes at Jammu

As part of Kar- tavya initiative launched by the department of State Taxes Department to ensure widespread awareness regarding GST and tax compliance, a three day capacity building workshop was organised for the officers and officials of the department in collaboration with NIELIT, Jammu.

 The initiative aims at strengthening the human resource of the department in handling of basic IT tools required for implementation of GST and creating a foundation for taking Department from manual interface to digital interface.

During the valedictory session of the training program, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes Jammu, Namrita Dogra spoke on “Data Analysis using Advanced MS-Excel” for the 4th NIELIT, Jammu Campus. She lauded the efforts of Commissioner State Taxes, Dr. Rashmi Singh for creating an ecosystem of learning within the Department.

Namrita Dogra also appreciated the team of NIELIT and requested Director NIELIT J&K to create an interface where there can be a regular interaction between the trainees and their trainers so that they can mentor our employees in future as a continuous process.

The participants appreciated and lauded the initiative taken by the department to provide such quality training that will contribute towards effective and efficient data analysis by them. It was emphasized that such training on regular intervals for the departmental candidates enhance their capabilities towards effective use of technology in their day to day working.

Later, certificates were also distributed to all the participants on successful completion of their training by Namrita Dogra and Director NIELT.
