ADDC Ramban flags off exposure tour of Watershed Committee members

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma today flagged off a batch of members of Watershed Committees of block Ukhral for a five-day exposure visit to National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj- Hyderabad.

The exposure visit has been organised by State Level Nodal Agency for IWMP, Chief Executive Officer SLNA, J&K and   Project Manager, IWMP Ramban under capacity building programme of IWMP.

The watershed committee members will visit National Institute of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj at Hyderabad to learn and gain the knowledge of new methodologies, tools and techniques for further improvement of the area under Integrated Watershed Management programme (IWMP).

The ADDC appreciated IWMP for organising the tour and asked the Project Manager, IWMP Ramban to arrange more such programmes in future for the effective capacity building of all stakeholders under the IWMP scheme.

  Assistant Commissioner Development Ashok Singh, BDO and others were also present on the occasion.
