Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today visited to the district hospital and inspected patient care services including stocks of medicines, diagnostic facilities and sanitation.

 

He emphasized on disposal of biomedical waste as per the recommended protocol and strongly discouraged its open disposal.

 

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Medical Superintendent Dr. Yudhvir Singh Kotwal to coordinate with Municipal Council Kishtwar to ensure the appropriate disposal of biomedical waste, discouraging any open dumping practices.

 

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner verified the attendance records and staff roster to check the compliance to the prescribed guidelines. He underlined the significance of punctuality and accountability of the hospital staff for delivery of quality healthcare services.

 

Later, the DC extended his visit to different wards of the Township to inspect the sanitation condition and civic amenities. He directed the Municipal Council authorities to take immediate measures to start disposal of waste within the wards and the surrounding areas of the hospital and in front of the shops. Any violation in waste management practices will be subject to fines and penalties, as determined by the concerned authorities.

 

Dr. Devansh Yadav highlighted the significance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in healthcare facilities and the surrounding areas, aiming to safeguard the health and well-being of the citizens.
