Today, the Department of Environmental Sciences, Government Post Graduate College Rajouri in collaboration with the Eco Club and NSS units of the college, organized a Quiz Contest on Biodiversity as part of the World Environment Day 2023 celebrations. The event was conducted under the aegis of Mission Life, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and addressing the challenges faced by the world. The program garnered significant participation, with hundreds of participants from various higher education institutions across the state joining online. The Participants who scored 70% or more in the quiz were instantly awarded e-certificates to acknowledge their achievement. The efforts of the department were praised by the college Principal, Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad, who recognized their commitment to organizing such an impactful event. Dr. Naseem Ahmed, the NSS Program Officer, commended the well-coordinated effort. Dr. Junaid Jazib, the Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences and the program coordinator, emphasized the importance of awareness in addressing the contemporary environmental challenges. The program was successfully co-coordinated by Dr. Junaid Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences. It is worth mentioning that this event was part of a series of activities being organized under Mission Life program in connection with World Environment Day 2023.
