Bandipora: Candles Garden Educational Institute Gund Jahangir on saturday held an anti drug awareness rally from the school to different areas of Sonawari. This rally was held under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative of the Government of India and was flagged off by the Principal of the school, Mr Mukhtar Ahmad Wani, During the rally students appealed youth and parents to work jointly in eridicating the drug menence from the area. Speaking on the sideline of the rally students said’ that all sections of people should jointly put their efforts in eridicating the drug menence from the area. They also said’ that parents should take care theirs children in all proper ways to save their future. Students also raised slogans Save Youth, Save Kashmir, Save Sonawari, No To Drugs,’ Yes To Life, to make people aware of the drug menace. The main aim of organising such rallies is to aware of the people about ill effects of the drug menace. Around 50 students participated in the rally carrying posters and placards with messages urging the public to refrain from drug use. Students also raised slogans to make people aware of the drug menace. The program was held under the leadership of Mr Showkat Ahmed bhat besides him Bilal Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed and other teachers of school.
