Bandipora, May 16: Government Degree College Ajas Tuesday organized a remarkable display of traditional Kashmir cultural items in the college campus under G20. The exhibition included various traditional clothing, utensils, and musical instruments of the region. The main aim of the exhibition was to promote, preserve and showcase the richness and diversity of the traditional heritage of Kashmiri culture. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Parveen Kousar, who praised the efforts of the organizers in showcasing the cultural richness of the region. She appreciated the efforts of the students for their hardwork to make the exhibition a grand success. The event was organized by the cultural committee of GDC. During the programme, T the display included a wide range of traditional Kashmiri items, such as shawls, Tila, Sozni, carpets, pottery, various agriculture items and embroidery, Lackha, Polari, Ornaments, Pahadi Costumes. The items were arranged creatively, with a focus on highlighting their unique features and intricate details. In addition to the display, the event saw music performances by students, adding to the charm of the event. The performers enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing performances. The exhibition had an overwhelming response and was attended by a large number of participants, including students, faculty members, and visitors. Besides, students from GHS Ajas were invited specially. Participants were fascinated by the intricate designs and handicrafts of the region. Participants also got a chance to taste some authentic Kashmiri food and beverages. The event was not just a great platform for cultural exchange, but also an opportunity to promote tourism in the region. By showcasing the unique features of Kashmiri culture, the event helped to generate interest in the region and its rich heritage.
