SHOPIAN, MAY 16: The District Administration, Shopian in collaboration with J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) today organized a blood donation camp at District Hospital Shopian.  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb inaugurated the blood donation camp in pursuit of common humanitarian cause in presence of large gathering of officers, officials and volunteers   On the occasion, DC said that blood donation is a social service and people, especially youth should come forward to donate blood which helps in saving the precious lives.  He appreciated volunteers who donated their blood and also congratulated the stakeholders for conducting the blood donation camp for a better cause.  He received feedback from the concerned officers regarding the functioning of the blood bank established in the hospital.  It was informed that there is a capacity of 300 pints in the blood bank and almost 80 pints remain available.  80 Volunteers from different parts of the district donated their blood to save precious lives.  Officers of various departments besides doctors and paramedics were also present on the occasion.
