This marks a significant milestone for the J&K Football Association, as we continue to strive towards developing football in the region. We are immensely grateful to Professor Nelofer Khan Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir and Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir Registrar University of Kashmir for their unwavering commitment to sports development in the region and their proactive approach in ensuring that the necessary infrastructure and resources are made available for the successful conduct of the coaching course. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Ms Nuzhat Gul Secretary J&K Sports Council for her invaluable contribution towards the promotion of football. Her dedication and passion towards the development of sports in our region have been remarkable. We are extremely grateful for her unwavering support, which has been instrumental in creating more opportunities for young footballers. This historic event would not have been possible without their auspicious support and encouragement. Under the tutelage of Sajid Yousuf Dar, an international football coach and coach educator, participants from all over J&K UT and Ladakh have gathered to learn and improve their coaching skills. This is truly a historic moment for J&K, as for the first time as a special case, all the selected candidates are only from J&K. The opening ceremony of the course was graced by the presence of Shri Wasim Aslam, Chairman of the JKFA and Professor B.A. Shah Hony General Secretary JKFA who welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of promoting football in the region. He stressed that such courses are essential for the development of football in J&K and praised the efforts of everyone involved in organizing this course. The other distinguished dignitaries that were present at the occasion include Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir Registrar University of Kashmir, Dr. Musavir Ahmad Director Sports / Coordinator Sports University of Kashmir, Mr. Bashir Malik President DFA Srinagar, Mr Naseemul Gani and Hilal Rasool Parray AFC Pro License Coach. Dr Musavir Head of DPES highlighted the importance of coach education programmes and how it can prove beneficial for the young budding footballers. Dr Musavir also mentioned the role of physical education teachers at grassroot level and also entrusted upon having such courses for the M P Ed students. Dr Nisar Ahmed Registrar University of Kashmir appreciated the efforts of DPES for having the tie ups with the organisation like AIFF and JKFA for such educational programes. He had all praise for Sajid Yousuf Dar for such initiatives through which the sportspersons/coaches of the UT of J&K will be benefited. He assured full cooperation from University of Kashmir for such programmes. JKFA believes that this course will provide a tremendous opportunity for coaches to enhance their knowledge, skills and expertise. The AFC C Diploma Coaching Course will focus on various aspects of coaching, including tactics, fitness, psychology, and nutrition. Participants will gain practical experience and will be evaluated through assessments and practical sessions. We are grateful to Shri Wasim Aslam Chairman JKFA, Shri Sajid Yousuf Dar and all those involved in making this course a reality. We also extend our appreciation to the participants who have travelled from different parts of J&K UT and Ladakh to be a part of this course. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing the impact of this course on football development in J&K.
