Kupwara, May 13,2023  District Police Kupwara under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Civic Action Programme today held an essential items distribution event in the District Police Lines Kupwara.  As a part of series of programmes held by District Police Kupwara, this programme was conducted to distribute items of basic needs to Orphan children of Tak Zainigiri Yateem Trust Salkote Kupwara. The programme was presided over and attended by DIG NKR Baramulla Vivek Gupta and SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas among other officers of the district.  DIG North Kashmir Vivek Gupta on the sidelines of the function told that this programme has been conducted to extend helping hand to this vulnerable section of the society and we need to uplift orphans for the cause of humanity and to protect the children from being deprived of basic needs . He thanked all the participants who were present at the occasion. At the end of the programme Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq, DYSP DAR Kupwara gave vote of thanks to the audience present there, which was followed by distribution ceremony. DIG NKR Baramulla and SSP Kupwara distributed various essential items among the orphan children which included blankets, school bags, sports items, matting, lockers, table fans and ceiling fans. The general public and the management of Yeteem Trust appreciated this effort of District Police Kupwara.
