KUPWARA, MAY 11: On the directions of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, ADDC Kupwara Altaf Ahmad Khan today visited Sogam block of Kupwara district and inspected various AmritSarovar works.
ADDC besides taking stock of different developmental works being executed in bock Sogam visited “Rupi-Sar” at Panchayat Chandigam A, “Mir-Sar” at Chandigam B, “Pir-Sar” at Chandigam, “Siver-Sar” at Lalpora and other Amirtsarovars executed by RDD in CD-Block Sogam under Mission Amritsarovar.
While expressing his satisfaction over the Amitsarovar works, ADDC Kupwara said that Amritsarovars constructed by RDD have become sources of generation of rural livelihood as the water of these Amritsarovars is being used for Irrigation, Fisheries, Duckery, Animal Husbandry and water tourism besides they are vital assets to protect the environment.
