SHOPIAN, MAY 09: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC)
Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting of officers of RDD to review the functioning of the department including the progress achieved under various schemes. During the meeting, ACD Shopian Hilal Ahmad Jeri apprised the DDC about the progress made by the district under various schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-G, B2V3, RGSA, UT Capex, Distt Capex, SBM and 14th FC. The DDC directed to ensure timely completion of all the works with judicious utilization of funds and at the same time ensuring the quality of work to create durable assets. The DDC also reviewed Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin threadbare and urged BDOs to involve all the stakeholders in saturation of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin components like Model panchayats, Plastic Free Panchayats and provision of Solid-Liquid Waste Management at panchayat level. He also emphasized upon the officers to ensure door-to-door garbage collection in rural areas. He directed the concerned Officers of the district to work in missionary zeal to create the requisite infrastructure for disposal of domestic waste. He also asked the officers to fully involve the local PRIs for the effective implementation of the Mission. Further, instructions were issued to BDOs and technical staff to work in synchronization while finalization of ADF plan 2023-24 as well as PMAY-G. Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineer REW, BDOs and other functionaries of the Rural Development Department.
