Urges youth to get benefited through schemes of KVIB for establishment of self-employment enterprises  KULGAM, MAY 06: The Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB, Dr Hina Shafi Bhat today visited Kulgam and presided over an awareness camp cum interactive session organised under the banner of G-20 at Awami Park Ashmuji, here.  The programme was attended by BDC, PRI members; senior officers from the Board, officers from District Administration, and a large number of educated and unemployed youth besides prospective entrepreneurs of the area.  Addressing the occasion, Dr. Hina stated that the Government is committed to extend every type of hand-holding support for seamless growth and development of the Industrial Sector, and create a supportive and conducive entrepreneurial atmosphere.  She added that recently, the upper project ceilings under PMEGP have been enhanced under manufacturing sector from Rs. 25 to 50 lacs and under service sector from Rs. 10 lacs to Rs. 20 lacs and enjoined upon the educated, unemployed youth/ aspirant entrepreneurs to channelize their energy and enthusiasm for Nation Building by establishment self-employment enterprises.  Calling the Panchayat Raj Institutions as drivers of rural economy, she enjoined upon the line departments and bankers to utilize their services in identification of genuine and deserving candidates under employment generation programmes.  She further underlined the need for close coordination and synchronization among the line departments and bankers to ensure that the benefits of these schemes are percolated among the target population.  She also stressed upon the concerned officers of KVIB Kulgam to make tangible efforts and cover maximum youth to make them self-reliant by extending financial assistance through the schemes and programmes of KVIB for establishment of self-employment enterprises.  Earlier, officers from the Board and bankers gave a detailed presentation about the modalities involved in implementation of JKREGP and PMEGP.  The stakeholders were informed that these schemes are online and aspirant entrepreneurs can apply online for availing financial assistance under these schemes.
