Wanted Drug smuggler Sajid Ahmad Khan arrested; 1Kg of contraband Charas like substances at Noorkhah Crossing during naka checking; Vehicle seized;
Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob Kubra Nazir, SHO PS Boniyar arrested wanted Drug smuggler namely Sajid Ahmad Khan S/O Mohd Afzal Khan R/O Mohura during naka checking at Noorkhah Crossing who were coming in a vehicle Maruti bearing registration number JK05D-6547 from Uri towards Boniyar and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. During their personal search 1 Kg of contraband Charas like substances was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately. Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion. General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
